What connection does the FGSFA have with FGS research?

While the history of FG Syndrome began over 20 years prior to the FG Syndrome Family Alliance’s humble beginnings, it is interesting to note that most of the progress in research has happened in the years that our organization has existed, thanks to advances in technology and scientific genetic research capabilities, and the persistence of key researchers to find answers about FGS. The FGSFA is grateful to them for sharing progress (and sometimes lack of it) with us over the years, educating our families and giving them hope and encouragement. Meanwhile, since 1997, families connected to the FGSFA have donated blood samples, shared case histories, etc., with key researchers to further their studies.
